 On Saturday, Jan. 25, 346 students from Thomas M. Cooley Law School’s Michigan campuses were presented with the degrees of juris doctor or master of laws.

The school’s 115th commencement ceremony was held at Michigan State University’s auditorium in East Lansing, Mich.
Jack C. Davis, partner with the Lansing law firm, Loomis, Ewert, Parsley, Davis & Gotting, PC, addressed the graduates. Davis has served on several international delegations to advise government leaders on trade and international tax matters for the development of a free market economy.
Each entering class at Cooley bears the name of a distinguished member of the legal profession. The January 2014 class was named after former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Henry Brockholst Livingston. He was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1807 and served 17 years. The opinions Livingston wrote during those years focused on maritime and commercial law. He was known to be succinct and fact-oriented in his writing, and had a preference for economical use of legal citations.  For more pictures of the event, see page 2.
