Residence: Lansing.

What advice do you have for someone considering law school? Be very aware of the financial investment. If you don’t actually want to practice law, there may be other means to the end you’re seeking that don’t involve quite as much of a financial burden.

Favorite local hangouts: Lugnuts Stadium, Hawk Island, any golf course.

Favorite websites: Politico, CNN, ESPN, fsbrlaw.com.

What is your happiest childhood memory? Visiting Chuck E. Cheese’s whenever my family went on vacation. We didn’t have such luxuries in the UP…

Which things do you not like to do? The usual chore-related activities: laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.

What would surprise people about your job? The wonderful work environment at our firm. I never pictured myself working at a law firm, mostly because of the private-practice horror stories I heard. But the group of people that work here are incredibly hard-working yet laid back at the same time. It makes for an enjoyable work day.

What do you wish someone would invent? A time machine.

What has been your favorite year so far? 2014!

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would that be? The president, on a crisis-free day.

What’s the most awe-inspiring place you have visited? Lambeau Field. (I catch a lot of grief for my Green Bay Packers allegiance while living in Lions country.)

If you could have one super power, what would it be? Mind reading. It would be very useful for a lawyer, but might create a bit of an ethical dilemma….

What would you say to your 16-year-old self? Be nicer to people, especially your parents!

What’s your proudest moment as a lawyer? Well it’s only been about six months, but I would have to say winning my first case in the Tax Tribunal or being sworn in by my friend and mentor, Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi, in the beautiful Marquette County Courthouse in front of many friends and family.

What is guaranteed to make you laugh? My dog.

Must-see TV: “Morning Joe” and “Modern Family.”

What’s your biggest regret? Not studying abroad.

What’s one thing you would like to learn to do? Speak a foreign language.

What is something most people don’t know about you? My graduating class in high school only had 15 people.

If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be? It would be hard not to go with past presidents. I’d have to say Lincoln and FDR. And I think you’d almost be obligated to invite Jesus to the party.

Can’t-live-without technology: The iPhone.

Does anything worry you? It would be easier to list the things that don’t worry me.

Are you concerned about diet and exercise? More so about exercise. I try to stay active, through running and playing a lot of tennis. I should be more concerned about diet, but pizza and taco bell are my guilty pleasures.

If you can help it, where will you never return? A seat at the bar exam.

What do you drive? Buick Verano.

What would you drive if money were no object? A yacht in the Caribbean.

Where would you like to be when you’re 90? Above ground. Preferably somewhere warm with plenty of golf courses and tennis courts.
