Thanks to a generous grant from the Ingham County Bar Foundation, all members of the Ingham County Bar Association can attend the Feb. 20 Bench-Bar Conference at no cost.
The event, set 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Veterans Memorial Courthouse, 303 W. Kalamazoo St. in Lansing, provides valuable educational and networking opportunities to all attorneys practicing in Ingham County, particularly those new to the profession or beginning their legal career.
“The Young Lawyers Section of ICBA is grateful for the grant from ICBF and strongly encourages all of its members to attend this wonderful event,” says YLS?President Catherine Tucker.
After a “Meet the Judges” continental breakfast and a welcome and opening remarks from Charles Barbieri and the Hon. Janelle Lawless, a full session will discuss tips and tricks of voir dire.
Breakout sessions include Family Law, Business Court, Criminal Law, and Nuts & Bolts for Lawyers.
The event will end with an “Ask the Judges” session.
