The 14th Annual Lansing Bike Helmet Event, “Lids for Kids,” sponsored by the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, took place May 21, at the Marshall Street Fire Station in Lansing. Hundreds of helmets were given away, and volunteers were on hand to custom-fit them. Children could enter into a free drawing to win a bicycle, and the fire station was open for tours. A similar event was held in Traverse City on May 14, and an event is set for Grand Rapids on June 11.
