Law firm co-sponsors 'People's Law School'

The  “People’s Law School,” co-sponsored by the Sinas Dramis Law Firm, the Michigan Association for Justice and Wayne State University Law School, begins September 13 and runs through October 25.

The program, will be held 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Hannah Community Center, 819 East Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI 48823.  The cost is $25 for all seven sessions, or $7 for an individual class.

The “People’s Law School” is open to the public and connects citizens who want to learn more about the law with attorneys, professors and other legal experts.

Sept. 20:?Your Rights & Responsibilities in Traffic Stops with Law Enforcement, with Michael J. Nichols, Nichols Law Firm

Sept. 27:? Are You Covered? Personal Injury & Auto No?Fault Insurance Coverage Issues, with Stephen H. Sinas,  Sinas Dramis Law Firm

Oct. 4 :?Wills, Trusts & Estates Law, with Michelle Lane, Chalgian & Tripp Law Offices

Oct. 11:? Understanding Forensic Evidence, with Leonard Speckin, Speckin Forensics

Oct 18:?The Story & Purpose of the Innocence Project, with William Fleener, Jr.,  WMU Cooley Law School

Oct. 25:?Family & Domestic Relations Law, with Jacquelyn A. Dupler, Attorney at the Sinas Dramis Law Firm

Classes typically include a lecture with a short break, followed by a question and answer session. Each participant will receive class materials the evening of the class. Students who attend five of the seven classes will receive a People’s Law School Diploma.
