Attorneys Liisa R. Speaker and David R. Brake have been elected to the Board of Directors of the Ingham County Bar Foundation.
A graduate from The University of Texas School of Law, Speaker has become well known for her written and oral advocacy. Her appellate skills have helped clients obtain victories in appeals ranging from custody disputes to no-fault automobile insurance litigation to real property case and to probate appeals. In April, 2007 she founded Speaker Law Firm, PLLC.
Brake is a graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Toledo College of Law. A lawyer with the Lansing law firm of Knaggs Brake, P.C., he concentrates his practice in areas of estate planning, real estate and business transactions and probate matters.
A lifelong resident of the Lansing area, Brake is a past President of the Ingham County Bar Association and a former member of the State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners.
