WMU-Cooley Law School Professor Gary Bauer was a featured presenter at the recent National Creditors Bar Association’s annual conference in Nashville, with a presentation “Extract Value from Your Practice, Hire to Retire 1+1=3.” Bauer, who has been honored with the ABA Solo and Small Firm Trainer Award and State Bar of Michigan Outstanding Achievement Award, and who authored “Solo Lawyer By Design: A Plan for Success in Any Practice,” spoke about solo practitioner law firms, how accounting for the firm’s assets is important, and the difficulties faced when attorneys leave their practice.
