Andrea Andrews Larkin, Chief Judge of the 54-B District Court in East Lansing, announced that the court will be closed to the public on Thursday, January 31, and Friday, February 1. The court will be conducting a physical case inventory required annually by the Michigan Supreme Court.
Court offices will not be open for walk-in arraignments or payments. However, previously scheduled courtroom activity, including felony preliminary exams, may be conducted. Defendants and witnesses should report directly to the appropriate courtroom.
Drop boxes are available at the Police Desk and City Hall Parking Lot for filings and payments. Payments can also be made online at www.54bdistrictcourt.com.
