Cunningham and Manis named to 'Leading Michigan Women Lawyers'

Attorneys Sara L. Cunningham and Paula K. Manis from the Lansing law firm of Loomis, Ewert, Parsley, Davis & Gotting have been recognized by their peers as “Leading Michigan Women Lawyers” by Leading Lawyers magazine.

Cunningham handles a broad range of oil and gas matters, including regulatory matters and title work, as well as a diverse litigation practice in oil and gas, construction law, labor and employment law and business and commercial law. Since 2010, she has provided legal services to the oil and gas industry including contract review, negotiation and transactional work, litigation, regulatory matters, and title work.

Manis has maintained a diverse oil and gas practice for over 30 years.  Starting out as a field landman for Amoco in Michigan, she has worked within and on the side of the oil and gas industry
her entire legal career.

Manis counsels multiple major and independent oil and gas companies in all aspects of oil and gas matters. She is experienced in pulling together sophisticated joint ventures and drilling programs, negotiating and drafting purchase and sale contracts, exploration agreements, JOAs and other industry-related contracts. She has extensive experience in acquisitions and divestures, including negotiating and drafting letters of intent and buy-sell agreements, as well as working closely with clients through the entire due diligence process.
