Takura Nyamfukudza, a partner at the criminal defense law firm of Chartier & Nyamfukudza in Okemos, taught a criminal law class at a recent session of the “People’s Law School” in Lansing. The goal is to educate Michigan residents about the law, their rights, and inner workings of the legal system. During his “Close Encounters of the 4th Kind” presentation, Nyamfukudza gave a brief lecture on the main dictates of the 4th Amendment, then acted it out and analyzed vignettes with audience volunteers.
