Jackson residents ready to network

Sixty people attended the Jackson Chamber of Commerce's Speed Networking event Thursday at the Commonwealth Commerce Center. The three-hour event was a chance for those in the business community to make connections in a relatively short period of time.

Susan Franck, Education & Communications Coordinator of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce was in charge of the event. She encouraged participants to stay away from people they already knew. ''The purpose of networking in general is to meet new people,'' she said.
