She earned her bachelor's degree with high honor at Michigan State University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School.
Dan Sheaffer was promoted to full professor. Prior to joining Cooley, he served as corporate tax counsel for Alticor Corp., in Ada, where he had the lead role in tax planning and tax advice for Alticor's Asian affiliates. He was also a senior adviser for Ernst & Young LLP in Grand Rapids, where he worked on international issues for a wide range of clients. Sheaffer also served as the only tax associate in the 50-person firm of Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman in Burlington, N.C. He earned his bachelor's from Western Michigan University, his J.D. magna cum laude from Cooley Law School, and his LL.M from the University of Florida.
