Summer Fun

The nonprofit Save Our Youth organization kicked off its summer program on June 3 with volunteer service, helping plant flowers at the Jackson County fairgrounds with the fairgrounds’ master gardener. Save Our Youth, founded by Jackson resident Thomas Burke who serves as director, is dedicated to maximizing the potential of all K-12th grade youth through educational, informative, physical, cultural, collaborative, and innovative programs. This year, the organization is focused on promoting volunteerism and teaching youngsters the importance of giving back to the community.
