Police Department in need of reserve officers

The City of Jackson Police Department is looking for community members interested in becoming reserve officers, volunteers who assist the Jackson Police Department serving the citizens of Jackson.

Reserves may assist regular sworn officers on patrol or assist with special community events such as parades and fireworks.

Candidates will receive diverse training, including: investigations, criminal law, defensive tactics, firearms, narcotics, and ethics.

Candidates must be able to obtain a Michigan Concealed Pistol License.

Applications are available at the Jackson Police Department or the City of Jackson website and must be submitted by Friday, December 7, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
