A “Forum for In House Counsel and Networking Event” was held recently in Bloomfield Hills, launching a series of programs on topics of interest to in house counsel in the corporate, public and nonprofit sectors. The event was sponsored by the Oakland County Bar Association. Judy Cunningham (right), corporation counsel for Oakland County and vice president of the OCBA, offered welcoming remarks as did OCBA President Jennifer Grieco (left) and Joe Papelian, deputy general counsel for Delphi Corp. and chairman of the program series. The first program in the series is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 from 7:30-9 a.m. at Delphi’s headquarters in Troy. The program, which is free, will feature a discussion on “Internal Investigations.” Presenters will include Tom Cranmer of Miller Canfield and a past president of the State Bar of Michigan; Alan Gershel, professor at Cooley Law School and a former federal prosecutor; and Papelian, also a former federal prosecutor.
