The Michigan State University College of Law Jewish Legal Society recently hosted its 4th Annual Student & Alumni Networking Night at the Detroit offices of Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone PLC. During the evening, retired Judge Edward Avadenka (center) was recognized with the Alumni Achievement Award.  Congratulating Avadenka were (left to right) Jason Weiner of McDonald Hopkins PLC, Eric Berlin, MSU College of Law Dean Joan Howarth and MSU College of Law Professor and Assistant Dean Elliot Spoon.  The purpose of the event, Weiner said, is to create “an intimate networking environment for Jewish law students at the law college to network with prominent attorneys and judges in the area. Past networking events bestowed the Alumni Achievement Award on U.S. District Court Judge Bernard Friedman, Mayer Morganroth and Robert P. Roth.
