Neighborhood benefits from service project

A number of area bar associations joined forces recently to take part in the Fourth Annual Diggin’ Our Diversity community service event in Detroit. Co-sponsors included The Albanian Bar Association, Armenian-American Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel – Michigan Chapter, Chaldean-American Bar Association, D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, Incorporated Society of Irish-American Lawyers, Jewish Bar Association of Michigan, Michigan Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Michigan Employment Lawyers Association, South Asian Bar Association of Michigan, Stonewall Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter. The initiative, under the supervision of The Greening of Detroit and the USDA/USFS Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, involved planting of trees in the area of Sunderland and Stahelin from 7 Mile to Outer Drive. Among those lending a hand were (left to right) Andrew Priebe, Kelly Priebe, Daniel Palizzi, Elisa Angeli-Palizzi, Diggin’ Our Diversity Chair Marcy Rosen, Chad Techner, Clayton Thompson and Chantez Knowles.
