The Michigan Roundtable for Diversity & Inclusion recently conducted a Law Honor Roll Town Hall at Tech Town in Detroit. The Law Honor Roll is an initiative of the Michigan Roundtable to bring representatives from all facets of the legal profession together to promote the recruitment of diverse talent into the profession and to support efforts to retain a diverse work force. The Town Hall included presentations on challenges and best practices in recruiting and maintaining a diverse work force and an overview of the current state of diversity in the legal profession in southeast Michigan by Gregory Conyers (third from left), director of diversity for the State Bar of Michigan. Also taking part in the Town Hall were (left to right) Rodney Martin of Warner, Norcross, Judd, LLP; State Bar of Michigan President Lori Buiteweg of Nichols, Sacks, Slank, Sendelbach, & Buiteweg PC; MI Roundtable Board Chair Bob Diehl; MI Roundtable President Steve Spreitzer; and Rasul Raheem of Bank of America.
