'Right to Counsel' honoree

Detroit attorney William Swor (right) was honored recently by the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan with its Right to Counsel Award at the CDAM’s Annual Dinner in Troy.  CDAM President Patricia Maceroni (left) said thaSwor’s dedication to CDAM and its mission “is second only to the dedication and commitment he has in zealously representing his clients.” Swor serves on the board of CDAM and the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission, while also serving as vice president for the American Board of Criminal Lawyers. He also mentors law school students and young lawyers. In his volunteer time, Swor remains on the board of the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Service, recently serving as its president.
