Event features mentoring, camaraderie

The RISE Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, presented a “Speed Judging” event recently at the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. “Speed Judging” is a legal take on “speed dating” where newer attorneys get the opportunity to speak one-on-one with members of the federal bench. Attendees were able to meet the judges and take part in an afternoon of mentoring, dos and don’ts and camaraderie. U.S. District Court Judge Sean Cox (left) was happy to chat with attendees including (left to right) Benjamin Tigay of Fausone Bohn LLP; Adam Ratliff of Warner, Norcross, & Judd LLP; John Mohyi of Mohyi Law; Benjamin Low of  Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer, & Weiss PC; and Mari Yokhana of Morgan & Morgan.  The event was followed by a happy hour at the Avalon Café and Bakery in Detroit.
