Warner Norcross offers day-long HR Seminar

Grand Rapids, Michigan, March 14, 2012 – The law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP will offer its popular human resources and benefits seminar on Wednesday, May 2, in Grand Rapids. 

The daylong seminar will focus on “The Changing World of HR.”  More than two-dozen employee benefits, labor and employment law attorneys at Warner Norcross will offer sessions on a wide range of topics during the seminar at the Amway Grand Plaza.

The seminar will be offered in two parts. The morning half will consist of sessions focused on employee benefits law and the afternoon portion will include sessions covering labor and employment law.  Attendees are welcome to register for the full day or may choose to register for a half day. Nearly 20 sessions on a variety of topics covering timely issues will be offered, including:

·                Talent management

·                Wellness programs

·                Labor and employment programs

·                Regulatory and legislative updates

·                Fiduciary issues

·                Record keeping

·                Compensation and benefit plans

·                An aging workforce

·                Unemployment claims

The lunch program will offer analysis on the upcoming elections, with members of Warner’s government affairs practice group providing “hot off the wire” insight from both the Democrat and Republican camps on key issues. A legal panel will also review the potentially significant impact that proposed changes to employment law could have on different organizations.
