Horia Neagos joins firm’s litigation group

Parmenter O’Toole announces the addition of Horia Neagos to its litigation department.  Horia returns to Muskegon after 5 years with the Wayne County prosecutor’s office where he successfully tried cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital life felonies.  “We had been looking for an experienced trial lawyer and we are fortunate to be able to add a lawyer with Horia’s experience to our litigation group,” says managing partner, George Johnson.  “It is a bonus that Horia is from Muskegon,” added Mr. Johnson.  “The firm always prefers to grow with local talent, especially when we can bring them back to Muskegon.”

Born in Romania, Horia moved to Muskegon in the eighth grade and graduated from Mona Shores High School.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Social Sciences at Spring Arbor University and received his law degree with Honors from Michigan State College of Law.  While at MSU, Horia was selected to work in the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office – Major Drug Unit as a student attorney.  Also in law school, Horia was a member of the Criminal Law Society, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Trial Advocacy Society, as well as being selected as one of 30 students for the
exclusive Fieger Trial Practice Institute, where he was awarded the prestigious Walter E. Oberor Scholarship.

An avid tennis player, Horia was an All American in college and a member of All Region/ All-Conference team.  He also started every game for four years on the Spring Arbor soccer team.  In his free time, Horia enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports and spending time with family and friends.  He is an avid Michigan State and Detroit Tigers fan, as well as a “fanatic” for Steaua Bucharest, his favorite Romanian soccer team for which he grew up rooting with his father.

Horia devotes 100% of his practice to litigation where he represents the firm’s clients in a variety of litigation scenarios as member of Parmenter O’Toole’s full service law firm.
