SBM Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section hosts Annual Day of Education

The State Bar of Michigan (SBM) Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section will present the 2017 Day of Education from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 19 at Haworth Inn & Conference Center, 225 College Ave. in Holland.
The Day of Education will feature seminars on: “Personal Injury/General Liability I,” Personal Injury/General Liability II,” “Family Practice,” “General Business Litigation,” “Cottage Law,” “Technology,” “Corporate Law” and “Practice Management.”

The Day of Education will be preceded by a Meet & Greet party from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursday at Butch’s Dry Dock, 44 E. 8th St., Holland. The Meet & Greet is $10 for those not attending the Day of Education.

The cost to attend the day of education, which includes the Meet & Greet and a continental breakfast, is $35 for Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section members, $45 for non-members and $20 for students, if registered by May 10. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Haworth Inn & Conference Center. Reserve your room by April 28 to receive the special rate of $119 plus tax.

The Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section, an affiliate section of the State Bar of Michigan, was established in 1990. Composed of approximately 450 practicing paralegals and legal assistants, it provides education and news to its members on a regular basis, in the Michigan Paralegal Newsletter and a monthly Newsblast. Membership in the section is open to qualified legal assistants and to all member.
