A reminder that Halloween and Thanksgiving are right around the corner.

On September 27-28, the Womens Division Chamber of Commerce hosted another of their highly successful events in Trinkets and Treasures. Proceeds went to the Child Abuse Council of Muskegon County, The Hope Project (to help human trafficking victims), and the Muskegon Sports Council.

This year the large sale was held at the Lakes Mall, in a space the mall donated. The 2019 co-chairs were Jo Anne Hoekenga, Debra Walters, and Judy Mitchell.

Though this year’s proceeds are not tallied yet, Trinkets and Treasures has raised over $163,000 since it began in 2006.

Additional sponsors were Redi Rental, Schuitema Moving & Storage, J. C. Penney, The Hope Project, and Meijer/Fruitport Twp.
