Michigan writers are invited to create original ekphrastic poems based on the Muskegon Museum of Art’s newest large-scale sculpture, “Minotaur Reading” by Beth Carter, for this year’s Art Talks Back Poetry contest.
The contest ends February 19.
This competition is free to enter and open to the public. Guidelines, selected artwork, and entry form can be downloaded online; or printed copies picked up at the Muskegon Museum of Art, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
Winning poets will receive their awards by mail after being notified in March and recognized via social media.
