‘Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls’

What better way to celebrate Women’s History month than with Miss Lydia and Miss Melissa?

“Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls,” by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo, will be the focus for sharing stories about the amazing women in history and our lives.

Everyone welcome, teens can enter the discussion on the Hackley Public Library teens Instagram page.

This free program, sponsored by Friends of Hackley Library, will be available on the HPL Facebook page at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 18.


Beethoven’s Vienna: A Historical Context

The Michigan Area District Library presents the online White Lake Music Society Winter Lecture Series,  7 p.m., Tuesday, March 30.

Join WLMS Host Bob Swan and Muskegon Community College History Professor George Maniates as they discuss the culture, times and influences taking place during the life of Ludwig Von Beethoven (1770-1827).

Our Voice: Celebrating the Coretta Scott King Book Awards

The Coretta Scott King Award is presented annually by the American Library Association (ALA) to African American authors and illustrators of books for children and teens that contribute to an understanding and appreciation of African American culture and universal human values. Our Voice features original artworks by past award winners. Runs through May 23.
