The Criminal Defense Association of Michigan will present "Evidence Boot Camp D" via Zoom, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 8.
This program offers hands-on small group skills training. Attendees do not have to take prior Boot Camps to attend this Boot Camp. Speaking at the training will be Harry Mihas and Bernie Jocuns.
Mihas, of Smith Mihas PLLC, is an expert in criminal defense and family law in both trial and appellate courts. He was a staff attorney to U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Gerald W. Heaney, Eighth Circuit, and clerked for U.S. District Court Judges John Feikens, George Caram Steeh, and John Corbett O'Meara, Eastern District of Michigan. He earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to his legal career, Mihas was a television news producer and writer at WXYZ and WDIV in Detroit.
Jocuns, of Bernard Anthony Jocuns & Associates PLLC, serves on the Board of Directors of CDAM. He has experience in criminal defense, drunk driving, felonies, expungements, juvenile law, accidents/injuries, family practice, contract defense, divorce and custody, paternity, probate, and marijuana law.
Jocuns earned his law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.
