Samaritas hosted a groundbreaking event in downtown Muskegon

Statewide nonprofit Samaritas hosted a groundbreaking event on August 12 for its housing complex at the corner of Spring Street and Webster Avenue in downtown Muskegon. Former Samaritas board member and foundation trustee John Jack (left) is pictured with Sam Beals, CEO of Samaritas. The $12M apartment building will offer 53 modern, safe and affordable housing units for people aged 55 and up who meet income guidelines. The ground level will also contain a commercial space for Samaritas staff helping children, families, and persons with developmental disabilities in the Muskegon area. Samaritas is the largest private foster provider in Michigan. Construction should be completed in late 2022.
