‘Write for Fright’ Adult Contest Ends October 25
Participate in ‘Write for Fright’ and let the community hear your spookiest short story!
Story submissions can be sent to askus@www.hackleylibrary.org, with ‘Write for Fright’ and your name in the subject line.
The winning story will be announced and read on the HPL Facebook page on Oct. 30. Stories should be 2500 words or fewer. Only one story per applicant.

Library Offers ‘Book Club in a Bag’ program
Michigan Area District Library allows readers to check out a bag containing everything for a book club.
Each bag contains 10 books, information about the book and the author, and discussion questions.
Bags may be checked out for up to 6 weeks and may be reserved in advance by completing the KitKeeper form or calling (231) 737-6248.
