‘Mariachi Music’ is slated for August 25

Hackley Public Library  will host “Mariachi Music with Gabriel Estrada,”  5:30 to  6:30 p.m., Thursday, August 25.

Enjoy an evening of traditional Mariachi music and stories with the amazing Gabriel Estrada!

As Gabriel shares his talent in this beautiful musical tradition, which expresses many cultural influences, he will also showcase a bit of Mariachi history.

Bermuda Triangle Escape Event set for August 15

The Bermuda Triangle is a space where ships, planes, and people have allegedly gone missing. Try your luck at our Bermuda Triangle Escape Room and challenge yourself to make it through.

The event is set 2 to 3 p.m., Monday, August 15, at the Norton Shores Branch, Muskegon Area District Library. Ages 7 and up.

‘Music of John Williams’ coming in September

The West Michigan Symphony will present “The Music of John Williams,”7:30 p.m.,, Friday, Sept. 30, in the Frauenthal Theater.

Hear music from Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, and more, conducted by Scott Speck.

Williams has composed the music and served as music director for more than 100 films. His 40-year artistic partnership with director Steven Spielberg has resulted in many of Hollywood’s most acclaimed and successful films.

Season tickets are on sale. Subscribers save up to 20%. Individual tickets go on sale this summer.
