Lawyers reach out to students on 'Constitution Day'

About 40 local lawyers volunteered their time Sept. 17, Constitution Day, to visit Ann Arbor middle schools and present programs to sixth and seventh graders about the nation’s founding document.

Lori Buiteweg spearheaded the oversized effort. She said lawyers reached around 2,750 students during the day and hopes there can be even more lawyer-teacher efforts next year.
