'Sweet Dreamzzz' come to children at Willow Run's Cheney Academy

14A District Court Chief Judge Kirk Tabbey, center, attorney and County Commissioner Rolland Sizemore, right, and Court Administrator Gene DeRossett, left, contributed funds for the purchase of sleeping bags that benefitted students at Willow Run’s Cheney Academy of Math and Science last Friday. The nonprofit organization “Sweet Dreamzzz” is committed to improving the health, well being, and academic performance of at-risk school-age children by providing sleep education and bedtime essentials, said spokesperson Diane Seitz. When Judge Tabbey heard that the organization was short of funds for the sleeping bags, he told Sizemore and DeRossett and all three families, with other donors, contributed the balance needed. Students also received a kit of bedtime essentials and a book to read at bedtime. The organization is based in Farmington.
