Ann Arbor attorney named Magistrate Judge
Chief Judge Gerald Rosen recently announced that the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan has selected David Grand for appointment as U.S. Magistrate Judge.
Grand is a resident of Ann Arbor and currently is a princi- pal with Miller, Canfield, Pad- dock, and Stone in Ann Arbor.
He was one of five per- sons nominated by a Court- appointed Merit Selection Panel from among 72 applicants.
The panel was chaired by attorney Thomas McNeill and included attorneys Mark Bern- stein, Stephanie Davis, KrystalJohnson, Fred Mester, Miriam Siefer, and Eric Straus, as well as non-attorneys Lizabeth Ardis- ana, Joyce Hayes-Giles, Mel Larsen and Michael Thomson.
Grand replaces Magistrate Judge Virginia Morgan who retired, and will sit in Ann Arbor.
