Bob West, who retired as Ann Arbor’s Senior Assistant City Attorney at the end of last year, was joined by friends and colleagues on Dec. 12 for a retirement party  at the 15th District Court. West, 62, retired after 20 years at the court. A graduate of Pioneer High School, West earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, and his law degree from the University of Toledo. He spent 10 years working for the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s Office, and then worked as a trial lawyer for the law firm of Bishop & Shelton, before joining the City Attorney’s office.
