In keeping Actress 'Suits' character in a long line of strong women
Véronique Liem, an attorney and shareholder in the Ann Arbor office of Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, has been elected President of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan (CPIM).
An alumna of the University of Michigan Law School, where she also earned her MBA, Liem is a trained, court-approved mediator for commercial and family law disputes, an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulation Authority, and a certified collaborative divorce attorney.
She has successfully litigated, mediated and settled many divorce, commercial and civil cases in the Detroit, tri-county area and Washtenaw County courts.
Liem has been involved with CPIM for several years, serving in the past as the secretary and vice president. In addition, she is a past member of CPIM's Uniform Collaborative Law Act committee that contributed to the recent passage of the Act in Michigan.
Liem also contributes a significant amount of time volunteering with organizations such as Avalon Housing and the Washtenaw County Bar Association, where she has served as President and Treasurer of the Board.
