MLaw alumna earns Young Professionals' Vanguard Award

Elizabeth C. Lamoste, an associate with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, has earned the Detroit Young Professionals’ Vanguard Award. This honor recognizes the outstanding talent of 15 of the region’s young professionals and entrepreneurs who are making a difference in our community.

Lamoste practices complex commercial litigation, and is a member of the Insurance Recovery and Advisory, e-Discovery and Information Management, and Data Security and Privacy Litigation practice groups.

She has developed and executed a grassroots advocacy campaign for Medicaid Matters for Michigan; served as a student attorney for the University of Michigan Law School Community and Economic Development Clinic, providing transactional legal services to Detroit nonprofit organizations; and represented tenants in 36th District Court in landlord-tenant related matters as a health policy and legal services intern for the Michigan Legal Services/United Community Housing Coalition.

She also serves as a co-boss of Nerd Nite Detroit, a bi-monthly evidence-based entertainment event where nerds across all disciplines share their knowledge through presentations and demonstrations.

Lamoste earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, in sociology and political science from Columbia University.
