WCBA to hold three events during 'Bias Awareness Week in October'

WCBA Bias Awareness Week will start with the 17th Annual Enhancement of Police and Community Trust (ENPACT) Public Forum, noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Learning Resource Center (LRC), 4135 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor.

The Bias Awareness & Inclusion Award Reception, including presentation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. and Frederick Douglass Awards, will start at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at Weber’s Inn, 3050 Jackson Rd., Ann Arbor.

The Hon. Donald Shelton will speak on “Biases in the Legal System,” at the Vanzetti M. Hamilton Bar Association Luncheon, noon to 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, at the Learning Resource Center (LRC).

Delphia Simpson and Parisa Ghazaeri are co-chairs of the WCBA 2016-2017 Race, Gender & Ethnic Bias Awareness Committee.
