Clients and friends joined attorneys and patent agents from the Ann Arbor office of intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione at its annual Links and Learn event, held on June 4 at TPC in Dearborn. Prior to golfing, participants heard Managing Partner Steve Oberholtzer speak about recent popular culture cases in IP law; shareholders Linda Nattler and Bob Fergan presented on design patents; shareholder Jim Cleland addressed patent pooling and defensive aggregation models in the new era of patents; and shareholder Mike Spink looked at patent trends among the top OEMs.
