The Livonia native also was treasurer of Moot Court, Mock Trial president, member of the Honors College, cheerleader and captain, participant in Multicultural Leadership Exchange, and presented at the 2016 undergraduate symposium.

She served as a summer legal intern in the EMU Office of Legal Affairs, and as a legal intern at the Adrian & Blissfield Railroad.

Varnum also welcomed Jailah D. Emerson to the Detroit office; and Justin A. Allen, Tuo (Paul) Wang, William J. Whalen, and Yezi (Amy) Yan have joined the Grand Rapids office.

All previously served as summer associates.
