Worth Investment Group has acquired The Shane Group, a Hillsdale, Mich.-based diversified family of 15 companies in industries including plumbing and heating supplies, recreation products, sports lighting, sanitation, athletic products and corporate financial services.
Worth Investment Group, based in Jackson, Mich., is now the umbrella company that owns the subsidiaries, which are located in Hillsdale and Traverse City, Mich.; Ontario, Canada; Mayodan, N.C.; Waukesha, Wis.; and Fort Collins, Colo. The Shane Group, founded in 1974, employs 165 people.
The management team at each subsidiary will remain in place, as will the existing employees.

-- Site and Park Amenities, Hillsdale.
-- Innovative PlaySystems, Hillsdale.
-- International Technology and Engineering Corp.,Hillsdale.
-- Paramount Financial Consulting Services, Hillsdale.
-- Unique Products Corp., Hillsdale.
