William Deary Receives Entrepreneurial Vision Award for Jackson County
The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and South Central Michigan Works! has announced that William Deary of Great Lakes Caring is the recipient of the Jackson County Entrepreneurial Vision Award.
"Great Lakes Caring is one of the Midwest's premier providers of a continuum of care, consisting of home health and hospice care, as well as home medical equipment," a Chamber spokesperson said.
"Their care services are delivered with an unparalleled level of quality by our exceptionally dedicated team of health care professionals to more than 6,000 patients across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Their intimate approach to caring for their patients, along with their relentless pursuit of advanced health care technologies and innovative care services, drives more than 2,000 loyal physicians to entrust their patients' care to Great Lakes Caring," the spokesperson said.
Deary responded that, "I'm honored to receive this award. Great Lakes Caring began with a staff of two. Our dedication to providing superior quality health care to our patients, wherever they call home has helped us grow to employ over 1,100 workers across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio."
The Entrepreneurial Vision Award is meant to honor an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the entrepreneurial growth of Jackson County through assisting entrepreneurs to become successful by providing business, educational and/or community support.
Specifically this award recognizes an individual or organization that has consistently contributed time, money, encouragement, and/or skill development to further the cause of the entrepreneurial spirit.
"Encouraging entrepreneurship within our community has always been important to me," Deary said. "New businesses formed by entrepreneurs keep our local economy strong by creating jobs and making investments in the community."
The Entrepreneurial Vision Award, along with numerous other community awards, will be presented at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on January 19 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Jackson Community College Potter Center.
