Michigan chapter will host national meeting
The Michigan chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) will host the meeting of the Executive Committee of the AAML at Weber's Inn, Ann Arbor, September 13-15.
This will be the first time the national executive committee has selected Michigan to host one of its four annual national board meetings.
Bloomfield Hills attorney Richard Victor, former member of the National Board of Governors of the AAML and founder of the Victor & Victor law firm, will chair the event.
"The Michigan chapter feels very honored to have been asked to be the site for this meeting," said Victor, "which will provide our chapter fellows an opportunity to show representatives from other states the many things our state has to offer, as well as the many programs the Michigan chapter provides to the practice of family law in our state."
National AAML President Ken Altschulerr, a resident of Maine and a graduate of the University of Michigan, said he's been looking forward to coming back to his alma mater for this meeting ever since he assumed his role as national president.
As part of the three-day event, the Michigan chapter will hold a state chapter meeting, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner with the national executive board starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14.
On Saturday, the national executive board will hold its meeting, which will be followed by an excursion to the University of Michigan football game against Massachusetts.
