A retirement party was held last week for attorney Janet Gage, Jackson County Friend of the Court referee, who has long worked on behalf of area families. Gage helped bring to fruition the new Jackson County Family Visitation Center for families affected by domestic violence.
Gage will continue on a part time basis until her position is filled. She and her husband, Bill McMurtry, plan to travel. Gage, an organist at First Congregational Church, also intends to spend more time practicing the organ.
