Christine Kloack is the paralegal at
The Law Office of Richard C. Mills,
PLC, which specializes in probate and
estate law. Kloack, who interned with
the Jackson County Probate Court, is a
2012 honors graduate of Baker College’s
paralegal program.
She is a member of Baker College’s
paralegal advisory board, the Jackson
Business and Professional Women
Organization, and the National Association
of Legal Professionals board. She
is also an associate member of the American Bar Association,
and the Section of Real Property, Trust & Estate Law.
Kloack accepted her current position in October of 2012.

Currently reading … I plan to read the new John Grisham
book “Sycamore Row.”
How do you feel at 8 a.m. on Mondays? Excited about the
new week and its possibilities.
My mother always told me … to have confidence in myself.
If you could do one thing professionally … I would learn as
much as I could to be better able to assist the clients we have.
Why did you go into law? I care about people and want to be
able to help them with circumstances that they need assistance
with.
What advice do you have for someone considering paralegal
school? Don’t give up, you can do it.
Favorite local hangouts: Mat’s Café & Catering, Jackson.
Your proudest moment(s) as a paralegal? I have many proud
moments being a paralegal because I truly enjoy being able to
help people through difficult situations that they may be going
through.
What would surprise people about your job? You wear many
hats as a paralegal. Some days you act as a counselor to clients
that are grieving. Some days you are there to listen and sympathize.
No day is ever the same and probate law is never boring.
When and where were you happiest ? When I became a
mother.
What would be your ideal job? Managing and mentoring other
paralegals.
What one thing do you wish people knew about your work?
That being a paralegal is both fulfilling and hard work.
What’s one thing you can do now that you couldn’t do 20
years ago? I can read legal citations and understand what they
mean.
Where would you like to be when you're 90? Somewhere warm.
