Military family assistance event set Nov. 12 in Jackson

Attorneys and other legal personnel who would like to help military families may be interested in attending the quarterly Michigan Tri-County Joining Community Forces (MTCJCF) meeting 9 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the National Guard Armory in Jackson. Julie Watrous from Operation Cuppa Joe will host the meeting.

MTCJCF focuses the efforts of local providers to strengthen the local military community. Because MTCJFC works in communities in different counties, they are uniquely positioned to find and consolidate the best local resources, providing better and faster assistance to service members, military families and veterans. The goal is for community resources to come together to create stronger, more resilient support for all military members and their families in Jackson, Hillsdale and Lenawee counties.
For more information on how to get involved, contact Lori Spicer, Family Assistance Center Specialist, Jackson Michigan NG Family Programs, at 517-990-1186 or lori.a.spicer.ctr@mail.mil; or contact Julie Watrous at 517-315-1039 or jrwatrous@frontiernet.net. Further information on Operation Cuppa Joe is available at www.operationcuppajoe.com. Information is also available on a new Facebook page, “Michigan Tri-County Joining Community forces.”
