Each year, the Jackson County Bar Association presents a scholarship award to provide financial assistance to law or pre-law students who are Jackson County residents and will recognize the achievements of these students.
The award, presented each year at the JCBA Annual Meeting, may range from $500 to $2,000, and may be presented to one recipient or divided between multiple recipients.
The JCBA established the Scholarship Award for purposes of promoting greater access to the legal system and better service of the legal needs of the Jackson County community.
JCBA members were recently emailed scholarship applications to distribute.
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, May 21.
