Local attorney Patricia Jane (Worth) Ritter died Jan. 16.
A Jackson native, Ritter graduated from the University of Michigan in 1987 with a B.A. in English and Communications, and from Wayne State University Law School in 1990 and immediately began practicing law.
By February 1992 she established her own practice, Law Office of Patricia J. Worth, in her hometown.
She served as president of the Jackson County Bar Association from 1999-2000; was on the Board of Directors for the Jackson AWARE Shelter for 20 years; and was the proud recipient of the Susan B. Anthony Award.
