Students nominated for NHS

Congratulations go to Climax-Scotts Jr./Sr. High School sophomore Amy Lynn and Climax-Scotts Jr./Sr. High School 8th grader Ailani Romero-Lopezfor being nominated National Honor Society Student of the Month for January.

Lynn was nominated for optimism.

The daughter of Vicky and Steve Lynn, Amy has a 3.95 GPA.

Some extracurricular activities Lynn is involved in include band, Dungeons and Dragons Club, SADD, Student Council and the Drama Club.

Lynn has previously earned Student of the Month recognition for candor.

Office or leadership positions Lynn has held include freshman class president, Secretary of SADD and a sophomore class representative.

Hobbies and interest Lynn enjoys include baking, reading, sewing, playing trombone, taking care of her animals and listening to music.

After graduation Lynn plans to finish her 13th year of EMC then apply to Adrian College where she plans to join the band.

Romero-Lopez was nominated for optimism.

The daughter of Alejandro Romero-Flores and Maria (Carmen) Lopez Juarez, Ailani has a 3.17 GPA.

Some extra curricular activities she is currently involved in include cheerleading and band.

Romero-Lopez has also helped hang up posters in the school and assisted Mrs. Maxa at the Book Fair.

Some hobbies or interests Romero-Lopez has include participating in cheer, listening to music, singing, watching movies, dancing and decorating.

After graduating from high school Romero-Lopez plans to attend college to become a doctor or a veterinarian because she is interested in health and caring for others.
