Oakland County Circuit Curt adopts high court case management system

The Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, Oakland County Clerk,  Oakland County Board of Commissioners, Oakland County Executive, and State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) entered a new joint venture to implement the SCAO judicial information services (JIS) case management system (CMS).  This system will replace the Legacy CMS Oakland County developed over 40 years ago.

Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Circuit Judge Jeffery Matis stated, “This collaboration begins the implementation of an effective and efficient CMS in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court.

The project will demonstrate how the evolution of technology continues to propel the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court and the Oakland County Clerk as technology leaders in court systems across the State of Michigan and the nation and Oakland County’s technological leadership in local government.”

The Oakland County Information Technology staff, in cooperation with the court and clerk staff, have collaborated on this project. Kickoff for this multi-year project is scheduled for next month.

The Sixth Judicial Circuit Court will be the largest circuit court in the State of Michigan using this system.
