MCCE is looking for judges, lawyers, paralegals, law firm staff, court staff, law students, college students, and anyone else interested in the law and helping young people. Sharing this volunteer opportunity with your staff, colleagues, friends, and neighbors is also encouraged.

Cover Art Contest open for court annual report
Applications will be accepted from 9 a.m on Friday, Jan. 10 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31. The winning submission will be used as the cover for the 2024 Annual Report, which is read by hundreds of lawyers, elected officials, and other business and community leaders throughout Wayne County.
Gift cards in the amounts of $500, $100, and $50 will be presented to the top three finishers, respectively, in the contest.

‘Recent Legislation and Hot Topics’ presented by SBM section Jan. 16
RPLS Legislative Committee Chair Leslee Lewis will begin with a discussion of new legislation affecting real property that has been passed into law during the last year. The section’s lobbyist, Tabitha Zimny, will provide an update on bills that are currently pending in the state legislature.
